Ok i am not sure if this is concidrered a failed or just a duh moment.....i had maintained my weight for over a year almost my two year mark then in august i stopped smoking............withiin 4 months i gained 30 pounds i know i know and get this not from eating food but from eating now and laters and peppermints......................I am not one that sugar affected....i could eat sugar in moderation..........well i am finally over my addiction of smoking and my addiction of eating now and laters and peppermints..........but i feel like such a failure ugggggggggggg how could i have let myself gain that.......everyone says i look better causei was to small, but i think did i screw myself up cause i gained that....i have not gained anymore weight since like january but i just cant get that weight back off i would atleast like to get 20 of it off. i especially feel like a failure around people who know i had the surgery. cause you konw alot of them are waiting for us to fail...... any ideas?????????????? thanks for the help in advance and for listening keep smiling though sometimes its hard rhonda

Hey Rhonda, Stop beating yourself up. You have conquered 2 of the biggest addictions...smoking and food. Yes, you gained some weight in tackling the smoking...it will come back off when you are ready for it to. Just stop and think how much healthier you are now that you don't smoke. Look how many more years of life you will gain. You no longer smell of stinky ciggies. Your hair now smells like your shampoo, not Malboros or whatever... And, those you love who are around you all the time are not breathing in that damn smoke. Another thing you need to realize is that when you stop smoking it messes up your metabolism.....be gentle with yourself...you've accomplished so much. Continued Success! Linda

now and laters is candy....sorta like starburst, only harder to chew..........you've never ate now and laters?
