 Up the dosage or take a combo, like Prilosec AND Tagamet. That should help. Push come to shove, get on a prokinetic, but stay the eff away from Reglan if at all possible. Good luck. I have GERD and it's a mofo and then some. I take four acid reducers. I get it.

 I take a host of meds. I do Prilosec, Zantac and Tagamet. You might want to start with Prilo first. There's also Rx  Protonics (I believe that's the name? ) See if your PCP will give you an Rx first. Also, to save money, ask for a script for Prilo, Zan or Tagamet. It might be cheaper or not. For me it is cheaper than buying OTC.

People have a real problem, when advice, flags and a consortium of degrees are being waved around, these days. Those people get exterminated one way or the other.

 There's a saying about having it all. What people fail to mention is that you can't have it all at the same time. Sometimes **** just doesn't work. This is your issue. You don't have the necessities to even have the surgery, let alone to deal with a post-op-life. You need to revisit this entire process at a later date. Sorry to be the killjoy, but someone had to  keep it real with you. Be well.

I take very high doses of a lot of heartburn meds. You might need to add to the pile.

I take prilosec 80 mg in the morning and 40 at lunch and at night.
Zantac 300 mg. Three times a day.
Tagamet 200 three times a day.

That mix had been working for me for a very long time.

I also take a prokinetic/antiemetic that doesn't cross the brain barrier, like Reglan. I take two of those twice a day.

I take sick amounts of calcium too.
See if you can mix it up and find the right formula for yourself. Do not suffer.
