Thank You White Dove, I am also allergic to Soy and Diary. Since its summer I have been eating more Diary than norm. I have been really enjoy a pint of strawberry Haagan Daz...yum.

However, I really appreciate your input and perhaps need to get my Vitamin A levels checked.

Thanks

I made mistakes. I'm taking 30 tablets, not 20. I don't know why the last half of my message is in bold. And I meant eleven thousand percent of the RDA, not eleven thousand times the RDA.

My surgery has been moved up from Friday to Thursday. We are still leaving on Wednesday but much earlier than expected. We are going to Juarez and Dr. Rodriguez is doing my procedure again. I'm so excited about this...it's been too long from when I should have done a revision until now.

Any words of advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Stephmags -

I"m going for surgery in one day. We will leave on Wednesday morning but have surgery on Thursday. I"m looking forward to the next steps in this journey and hoping it will stay off this time.

Are you have the SADI or the full DS? I'm going to talk to my doctor when I get there it decide which is best for me..

What does VSG stand for?

I had my DS in April 2010. Best thing I ever did. Now I hear this surgery isn't done anymore, is that true or did I receive bogus info? I have not looked into it yet to find out why. I know far too many people that had other kinds of bariatric surgery, lost weight, then gained it all back plus a lot more.

VSG - vertical sleeve gastrectomy

Just my opinion but I would assume the DS isn't done much anymore for several reasons - #1 too many people aren't or won't stay compliant with the lifetime commitment and #2 it's a difficult surgery and many surgeons just aren't experienced with the DS.
