I believe mine was 75 and what is referred to as a proximal RNY .
Eight years and some depression and Covid confinement and two miscarriages later I'm still healthy.... and I didn't always take my vitamins or stop drinking ... or even eat sometimes.
weight wise I wasn't perfectly happy with the results in the beginning ( although I looked really good ) .... but I was scared I'd regain.
As the years have gone by excess weight is less of a concern vs health . I'm not fat in any way mind you nor emaciated .... just skinny/ normal figured . I have noticed a tendency to not regain more recently... I can tolerate a snack food occasionally without blowing up .
Hi everyone, I am so excited and grateful that I am going to join the DS family soon. Dr. Kini is my Surgeon. He performs TDS as well as the modified version of the DS. The way my luck and body is set up, the traditional DS is the best tool for me. So far so good, Dr. Kini and his entire Staff have been Professional and helpful. I am loving the team.
I would love to speak to other people that had surgery with him or heard of him. Thank you in advance. :)
Any luck?
Dr. Kini Subhash here in NYC still does the traditional DS at Mount Sinai on 114th street in Manhattan, he is going to do my surgery soon. Him and Dr. Gandhi seems to be the only ones left in NYS that perform the TDS. Dr. Ayoola is great out of State.
Still healing but damn..LOL! Expectations are set way high and it's not happening fast enough..LO!

I'm trying but it's really hard when I was expecting to have a revision to my sleeve as well and low and behold, I hadn't stretched it out at all. It's still the same size as when I had it done originally in 2011!!
So I'm trying to learn patience but being Italian, we have none..LOL!

As I explained to my urologist regarding kidney stones, there's a big difference between people who live it, and doctors *****ad and write about it in a book. The study you referenced does not appear to take into account the size of the associated vsg, or any longer term effects from the different cc length sample groups. It looks very simplistic with a preplanned result.
I'm not giving advice as a doctor, but as someone who lives what I'm talking about, the shorter length would likely have offered a worse outcome for me.
Just under 300.
A lot of things aren't as obvious as they seem. Usually wls patients gain weight (good weight) with exercise, the longer common channel does not mean a worse weight loss outcome, and slower weight loss often means longer term.
There is a reason smart surgeons are going for a longer cc.
I think you are doing amazingly well. You are only 4 weeks out, give your body some time to heal from the actual surgery.
If you have a specific question for me, PM me or I will not see it, as I don't check responses on the forums and don't have anything forwarded to my email.
