I thought most DS'ers could eat more due to malabsorption?
some can and some can't. It also depends on the foods being eAten. Carbs are still absorbed 100% so there can still be gain or at the most no loss, if many well absorbed calories are consumed.
If nothing has changed, I'd bet its hormonal or thyroid.
yes. I lost 235 lbs with the RNY, and the DS is a stronger surgery than the RNY.
I weigh over 500 pounds and recently I lost 40lbs on Pre-op diet my Dr gives me but I have question Is it possible for me to lose 300 lbs with Duodenal Switch because I have a lot of weight to lose

You probably need to talk to a doctor about that and try to fund out the reason your cholesterol level is high. It might be a problem, and it might not, because some people just have higher levels of it, and it's fine.
You might also try to use some over-the-counter drugs for cholesterol, but you would need to choose carefully, and I still recommend talking to a doctor and finding out whether you need them at all or not. He might also suggest you try dieting to see whether these high cholesterol levels come from food or somewhere else. I usually rake Avas 10 mg in case of increased cholesterol levels.
