What helps me with odor is Diet, and a strong Probiotic. Plus whe. Your stool is loose, it causes a smell. I need Iron so they also contribute to a not so loose stool...
I eat stratight soda, or candy...all that sugar contributes to the odor

I have loose stools and go 3-5 times a day, over 2 years out. It's not the OGM! I have to go NOW, but I don't have a lot of warning time. I eat low carb and low sugar and still have the problem... I've tried cutting down on my fat, then my body went the other way and I could hardly go... To be it's the better option.

Ok, so most of your protein comes from food.
Well I still drink protein drinks, I,am going to try for 120 a day, do you think this causes you to kee your weight down? Does it reduce your appetite taking in 120 grams a protein? Have you noticed any change if you dont consume 120 grams of protein?

Why does it make you sad you cannot eat as much...oh because you are absorbing more, therefore easier to gain.
Does the protein reduce your appetite? Why even 80 since you been out for awhile?

Jodybob for me protein is easy - I eat a minimum of 30 grams of protein for each of my three meals and then with snacks I probably get another 25-30 grams (80%+ of my snacks are high in protein).
PS I don't use any protein supplements.

Looking at your posting history, you are over 5 years out so this isn't because you recently had your DS. Are you sure your diet has not changed? Perhaps you need to get checked by your doctor to see if you need flagyl. I know many people take probiotics to help regulate things. Good luck!!

There are two very different things here: diarrhea and loose stools.
Loose stools are very common with us because of the amount of fat we malabsorb. Going 4-5 times a day is common for someone in their first months, but most of us go only once or twice daily as our DS matures. Consistency can be very liquidy and loose or the consistency of pudding or paste depending on what we've eaten the day before. The unlucky minority still suffer constipation and hard stools and I pity that plight.
Diarrhea, on the other hand, is an urgent need to go NOW! Most of us do not experience that regularly, and if we do, it's a result of something we probably shouldn't eat anymore. Common contributors are some simple carbs like sugar or flour, artificial sweetners, milk, onions, even whey protein. Other common symptoms along with diarrhea and usually precede the event are bloating and very noxious gas.
If your experience is mislabeled loose stools, fear not. If you are truly experiencing urgent, uncontrollable diarrhea, then you need to start taking note of what you are eating and find the connection that is causing it.

How are you getting to 120 grams of protein. I'm 10 years out gain 20lbs I'm trying to loose it but can't seem to get above 40 g of protein and that's with drinking protein. I need a different protein I think.
Thanks
Good dry vitamins are expensive, but much cheaper than the complications you would get it you didn't take them daily. Anything that is in a soft gel or that has oil in the ingredients is not going to work. Thrive has a D3 that is not dry, in a soft gel, and has a relatively low dose of 5000 IU. Our doses are higher. Here are my suppliers. Dry A from Biotech, B stress complex from NAturemade, C from Naturemade, Copper from soloray, Dry D from Biotech, dry E from Solgar, Iron from FEosol, dry K from Relentless Improvement, Zinc from Solgar, and multivitamin from Centrum. They are all on Amazon, but I have bought some of them from vitamin companies that have BOGO now and then.
I don't need as much protein as I did decades ago. Over time I started absorbing more. I only need about 80 per day. Makes me sad because I can't eat as much. But more protein is still better than eating more carbs!
