Partial DS!

Has anyone had the DS surgery where the Doc did not reduce the size of your stomach, they only rearranged your intestines so it wouldn't absorb as many calories. Please share your story as I'm feeling hopeless and regretful.

I'm 3 days post op and can drink the same as pre-OP, im trying not to...

I'm definitely freaking myself out that this will not work

Did he tell you he didn't reduce your stomach?

Yes, he told me he didn't reduce my stomach because of the amount of scar tissue.

How rude.. I'm not a mind reader, you need to ask the questions you want answering.

Thank you.

Revision from what? Do you still have your whole stomach? If nothing was done to your stomach, of course you can still drink the same as preop. What you need to do is drink NO sugar.

Thank you @PattyL... i previously had the lapband. The scar tissue came from that.

I have never been a sugar lover, so thats not a problem. I have hormonal problems and also hypothyroidism. I work out 5days a week of whick i have a personal trainer for 3 of the 5 days. My metabolism is almost non existent hence why my GP referred me to having the DS Surgery.

You didn't give the whole story just parts of it and a little as possible every time. We still don't know enough to really help.
