Yes I guess I was feeling vulnerable, dealing with the pain and finding out about my low albumin. What I really hoped would be that someone else might have experienced something similar and that they might have had some info on how quickly they turned their swelling around. Like I said it's already improved since my initial post and I'm hopeful it was short lived. I am trying to get more protein, I have been having a mixed diet of protein and carbs as per my surgeon's diet plan but now I will do my best to get more protein every day. I don't want this to continue and I don't want to be a hairless, toothless lighter version of myself :)

I do 1 protein shake a day and 2 scoops of whey protein in my coffee to make sure I am getting enough. I have some muscle aches and pains that we are looking into but I got 100 Gm of protein with food but have decided to supplement with the protein shake and added protein powder to see if we have improvement.

Keep up with trying to find what it takes to be successful. You took the first steps. Continue on.

IT's good to take control. I'm not sure why this might be different as a revision but I found the first couple of months with the DS were my most vulnerable on line. You seem to be coming from a good place so congratulations on that.

I have to say the reason people might have been a little alarmed is because most of the posts I've seen where the person was already at the swelling . lymphodema stage did not turn around as quick as you are indication. I'm glad it is in your case. For me I've seen more people with swelling have to get their protein up via intravenous feeding tubes which doesn't sound pleasant.

Keep us up-to-date and we can try and help.

Pete
