Here are my projected bites... 12 years out and have maintained a 225lb weight loss. I'm sure I'm absorbing more as I've been around 75 grams of protein in a day for years and years and my labs are fine.

I'm trying plant based eating which is taking my protein down to 60-65. I'm staying on top of my labs and body signals.

(Disclaimer above since for many years I ate lower carb, higher protein especially when healing from surgery and during my weight loss window)

*************

Coffee with cream

1 avacado on 2 pieces of toast, peanut butter and an apple. (15 grams of protein)

Tofu scramble w/ peppers and onions , salsa and corn chips. (15 grams of protein)

Mushroom / cauliflower 'sloppy joe' (no bread), lentil pasta w/ chickpea dressing (20 grams of protein)

Wasabi peas (3 servings) 15 grams of protein.

There are some Chinese tofu dishes I've tried that are really good. One was so light I thought at the time what a great DSrs di**** would be.

Some tofu dishes I've had are great. Others have a strong taste. I haven't figured out what the differences are but overall tofu is a great DS food!

Are you hungry all the time at this calorie level? I was thinking of going low cal but I feel like I would be starving.

Everybody's body is different. Are you still loosing at the amount of calories you are taking in daily?

my doctor put me on this plan after my common channel was lengthened. When my cc was 100cm - I ate all day long and was always hungry. I ate all day, at night, I even woke up during the night to eat. I was constantly loosing and couldn't stop. I malnourished.

Perhaps you should try eating 6 small meals per day. Calories may not be your issue. You might just need to drastically lower your carbs. It makes all the difference.

Best Wishes,

My common channel was lengthened as well. Mine was due to an infection that would not clear. I am eating about the same but I feel so much better. As far as weight, I have gained about 10lbs which is not something that I am happy about. I was thinking of lowering my cals but I am so hungry all the time. Maybe I should try the lower carb.

Lowering your carbs may be the best idea for you. It will allow you to eat large quantities of heavy protein foods throughout the day and still loose as long as you choose the right foods.

What was the length of your common channel before the increase? What's it's current length?

My common channel was increased to 200cm. My appetite decreased, my vitamin and protein levels returned to normal. However, I exceeded my target weight and kept on gaining. No matter how much I decrease my calories I'm still not loosing. I use to weigh 145lbs but no matter how much I diet I keep gaining I'm almost 170lbs.

I loved the body I WAS in.....?

I've been working with my bariatric surgeon.

I'm having my common channel decreased next week. I'm hoping the increase will help me find a malabsorption balance somewhere between 100 and 150cm.
