Delayed emptying of barium after ds surgery

• Hi! I had ds with no sleeve for bile reflux 1 week ago! I had a delay in emptying of the barium after my surgery and they told me I would have to stay on liquids longer until my stomach started working again. Now I'm super scared I'm going to have gastroparesis. Has this happened to anyone and did it get better with time?

I've never heard of this as a problem. People do attribute some post-sleeve issues with vagus nerve issues but not gastroparesis which seems to relate to vagus nerve damage. The issues I've always seen have to do with your nose running or sneezing when you slightly overeat It could be just a reaction to the meds instead of an long term problem especially since they didn't so a sleeve (VSG). Let us know what happens.
