What does everyone take for Calcium? I take 3,500mg of calcium citrate a day. Current lab work shows I have a calcium serum level of 7.9 with a range of 8.7-10.2. I know being pregnant doesn't help as the little bugger is literally taking my nutrition but I need to get this up. Should I add a chewable? What do you guys take?

I take calcium 6x/day. I've been cutting back to 5 as my PTH is 25 and my D is 85-100. D/PTH/Calcium go hand in hand. You need enough calcium to bring your D up and PTH down. I use Members Mark from Sams and get the petites and take 3 at a time. $10 for 400 or 500.

I've been taking the Jarrow Bone Up, the one that is the 3/day dose. Most take 6 of these but I've added an additional 2 so 8 per day. I really like the Upcal D and would like to add it along with the Jarrow but it's so constipating, never been able to find a good balance with it.

If I remember correctly, Upcal D per serving is only 135, not the 400-600. You'd have to search the posts, but Diana posted that instead of the 500 it was really only 105 or 135. Be careful. I think that was back in 2008.
