How are you feeling with your carbs being reined in? Are you hungry throughout the day? Are you loosing yet?

I definitely see significant good changes in your "Bites".

Not really losing yet but I can't seem to hit the stairs every hour. I've been standing all day but that's not enough.

So how does this whole metabolism thing work after the DS? Dr. E gave me a metabolism test and I scored above average saying that when my body is at rest with no exercise if I consume 1,500 calories or less I should maintain and at 1,200 I should loose. Again assuming all things equal - with no exercise. After lowering my calories to 1,200 and refusing to exercise I still continued to gain.

Thats how I ended up at 1,000 calories or less daily. He thought it might jump start the weight loss. Against my normal regime. I'm even exercising unwillingly.

It sounds like you might be suggesting that in order to loose or better yet - to get the metabolism going - we need to be constantly moving. Is that a fair assessment?

Yes, get moving vigorously every hour for a short duration...maybe 10 minutes when you can. Otherwise any short burst to get your heart pumping every hour. What I try to do is 3 flights of stairs and 10 leaning push-ups every hour at work. That's not enough time but it's all I can squeeze in at work.
