Are they going to look at a resleeve while they are there? You may have an easier time with protein and liquids if they don't redo your sleeve. It's a good plan either way.

I believe I'm being resleeved as well. According to my gastroenterologist who did an EGD for unrelated reasons, my sleeve is the size of a normal stomach. He said if he hadnt known i had the surgery he never would have known. After a barium swollow to confirm, it did show to be enlarged and in an hourglass shape.

Now that I think of it, my surgeon never actually said he was resleeving. I'll have to ask be sure.

Right about 2 - 2.5 years. It was nice because I actually was able to gain 15 lbs (I looked so terrible) and then settle things out. Made my Drs happy as well as me. Now I've been stable for a few months.

Do u have issues getting enough calories to maintain your weight? How long is your common channel?

No not really but I eat lots of snacks, more so now because I'm pregnant. I used to eat just an am snack between breakfast and lunch and two snacks between lunch and dinner.

I think my cc is 125 or 150 I can't remember today! I like it and it still works for me. Mainly you just adjust your intake of food. More carbs more weight gain, less carbs more weight loss. It's pretty easy to regulate once you get down what works for you :)

Google chair exercises and start doing them now! Keep some free weights by your chair and use them constantly. It's a challenge to burn calories if your mobility is limited. Postop they want you to walk as much as possible so discuss this with your surgeon in advance and have a plan.

Oh thank u for the concern. I did make sure all my doctors are well aware of the exercise issue. The plan is to incorporate weights, rowing machine, biking and walking (with lots of breaks). I will have my hubby with me at all times to act as my spotter.

I actually like the rowing machine. Sometimes I skip the arms so I can read and just work my legs!

I really am happy that you asked this questions and got so many responses. I'm always amazed at how little some people eat. I'm ravenous and eat close to 2500 to 3000 cal/day. I am only 14 months post op and been at goal for 5 or 6 months. I can't seem to get a regular meal routine. I just weigh every day to keep myself where I want to be. I try to get 10,000 steps 4 to 5 times a week. I'm pretty active but I worry about my carb intake. So far so good but I worry that my lack of a food plan will sabotage me.

It's good to hear the variety of food plan. I eat 2 scrambled eggs with cheese and 3 strips of bacon every day, a protein drink every day, lots of fluids. Everything else is up in the air so far

Good luck.
