I love this stuff.  I was told to put it in a jar with a lid and shake it for a minute or so and then put in the fridge.  I agree it is wonderful!

I put 2 cups dark choc  almond silk and 1/2+ of chia seeds, some Hershey syrup, stirred well, covered and in the fridge.  2 hrs later, it was still mostly runny so added another couple of tablespoons of chia.  This morning it was thicker, but did need to be sweetened.  Couldn't find any sugar, so dump in some small marshmallows stirred and will see how it is tonight.  I think I need another 1/2 gallon of dark choc almond silk.  It was still a little crunchy, so some of the chia haven't all puffed out yet.  I could see mashing a banana and mixing it would sweeten it too, maybe adding some peanut butter too.  Just depends on what flavor.  Can't wait to try it tonight.

I know my cousin's wife was making chia gel and adding it to the food that she cooked.

You can grind the Chia first it may help.

I read that some people blend it in a blender first. I didn't, but you may need to with more ingredients.

Ate 1/2 last night.  The marshmallows did help for sweetening.  Some chia were still a bit crunchy, not bad though.  Generally, I take a tablespoon in my mouth and rinse down with water.  Chocolate pudding is better.  :)

BTW, pooping chia - just saying!

Me too!

I didn't realize how firm chia seeds could make things. I should have used started using them years ago!

For the newbies here....we do like to talk about our **** on this site. lol

Finished my first batch last night and made another 1/3 batch because I ran out of my Silk milk.  But, I have enough to have 1/2 tonight.  Have to go to the store.  It's addicting.  May have to try adding in some creamy peanut butter.

Yep, nothing is off limits on the DS board, especially poop!

I'm not quite sure I get the chia seed thing. I noticed someone drinking it yesterday for the first time. She said it was to keep her BM s regular. Is it a replacement for Miralax? Now you are saying it is a food additive?  Sounds like a passing phase but I'm curious why it would be good for ds'ers? I don't get it.

Pass phase for what? I've been a DSer for a decade, and people have been using it for about that long.

It does the opposite of miralax it firms you up. I actually had to take a strool softener to continue eating this, because I was firm before. But it has zero net carbs....or close to it...so it is a free food.

Scotty,

I dumped too many chia seeds and it was a bit stiff!  Mixing blackberries in with some juice helped.  I think taking them by mouth firms me up more due to the fact, that the chia expands with the water in my intestines, rather than the milk for the pudding.

Maybe if I ate some before they expand.  It is a great way to get a sweet dessert before bed, or during the day at work.

Have you tried adding in anything other flavors or...
