Hypochondria when losing weight

I am now 7 years out almost and I am still losing weight. Mind you, I started at 555 pounds, and I am now at 254, so it isn't as though I don't have weight to lose. For awhile my weight loss was very slow, then suddenly it began to pick up again in the last 9 months. I also have a tendency to have some stomach issues like more diarrhea and such, so I am panicked that since I'm not trying as hard as I should be and I'm still doing well that I am clearly dying of cancer or some other ailment. I went to general practitioner and he cleared me, said I was fine, ran blood work and only issue was Vitamin D deficiency. He said he would send me to a specialist but my insurance wouldn't cover it and he said frankly he didn't see the point other than to make me feel better. When I last saw bariatric surgeon he was fine with everything.

Should I be worried or is later in the game weight loss still okay and am I dying of anything?

I think part of my problem is in my head because the last 20 pounds seemed to open me up to a lot of attention and I feel exposed. I know, probably I should see a therapist but I haven't got the time.

I hope you feel secure and safe soon, our minds sure can play games with us. I would definitely work on the vitamin D levels and maybe push for a bone density scan if you're normally low on vitamin D. Otherwise, be happy you're still losing but work on the vitamin levels.

You did the right thing by seeing the GP to get checked out medically. Now do the next right thing - find time to see a therapist.
