Vitamin D Deficiency

I only take 3000 iu of D3 and about 2500 mg calcium citrate daily. What kind of D do I need and how much calcium citrate should I be taking?

It's really individualized. If you are getting your labs done every six months watch for subtle declines and adjust accordingly. I know we all take different amounts. I have tracked my labs ever since before my surgery. I made a spreadsheet so I can see if something is starting to decline, and while it may not have been a big decline over the last few months, it has been over the last year, so I take more of that. For me personally I take a total of 3,000 a day and because my vitamin d was low I was taking close to 30,000 a day. I've since cut back. My calcium has been between 9-9.2 and my PTH between 28-30

I'm attaching what I took when I was low. This was my vitamin summary.

When you return to your Dr., have him/her write another script for vitamin D3.  Take the Biotech and prescription to the pharmacy.  If you have prescription coverage, it is most likely covered.  I pay $8/month for mine.  The pharmacist orders it directly from Biotech ;)
