Hi guys,

BITES: (DS Maintenance Mode)
Pre-B - protein coffee with 1/2 & 1/2 (30g)
B - 1/2 cup Greek yogurt w/blueberries
S - 2 regular coffees w/1/2&1/2
S - 1 oz Farmer's Cheese and 3oz ham
L - 1 cup homemade veggie/beef soup
S - 1 cup peanuts
D - 5 fish nuggets
S - 

VITES:
morning batch: done
calcium batches: done
iron: done (told I need to stop all iron for 2 weeks...ferrittin is a little high)
evening batch: started
heme iron: stopping for 2 weeks

EXERCITES:
2-15 min walks, 20 leaning push-ups and 20 squats

Happy Tuesday everyone, 

Wow Gina, no iron- ferrittin is high, how much were you taking, I take one pill a day

Bites: wasn't really hungry today, so that was interesting for me.

protein shake

1/2 banana

hamburger

cheezies and diet pop

noodles

ice cream

Vites: all in

Exercites: none, but will have something for tomorrow woo hoo

Worked a split shift yesterday 8-12 and 4-8 first one so it was interesting. I have to do another one next Monday to.

The weather here is cold - the wind makes it aweful, but we have had a great winter so far.

Nov. 14/2005 I have reached the 10 year mark and I am very glad I had this surgery and can live a normal life.

I was on about 300mg a day until the last few years when ferritin got over the top a little. I've cut way back but apparently not enough or long enough.

i worry about taking too much iron. Vitalady schedule is 300 mph/ day, but reading other DSer's vitamin schedule seems most are only taking approx 28 my per day. .????

Decaf protein coffee
Turkey bacon
Cheese stick
Decaf protein coffee
1/2 BLT w/ xtra mayo
Chips
Carrots
Greek yogurt
Buffalo chicken
Few bacon cheese fries
3 chocolates
Decaf protein shake

I took 300mg for several years and maintained great levels. It's only been the past couple or 3 years that ferritin was getting too high. Not scary high but over the range of the lab. So, I've been reducing it greatly but haven't been having labs done every 6 months to see if it's been enough. This tweeking is all hit or miss unless you can get labs done every 3 months.
