ds is a go,... now on to insurance. i need lots of advice and encouragement of fellow dsers

well I did it was going to have a rny, after reading about all of you, I went back to dr. and he agrees about the ds. now I need to learn about this procedure. first off one big concern is the foul gas dr says he can help with a medication, but I have a fiancé now and I'm concerned about running him out of the house. please leave any and all comments. thank you sars

I say test your fiancee on his dedication to you. If he runs for the hills NOW, then he wasn't really worth it.

I guess its more me being concerned about it. tried to add a little humor. I guess it didn't work. have you had issues with the gas.

Oh, I got the humour and was following it up... unfortunately tone of voice doesn't translate well on the internet!  

I am getting a DS on Monday - I will let you know in a few weeks once I am recovering and eating real food!  The DS vets generally say that the BM's and gas is pretty controllable, but can get bad with carbs. Lots of other posts on the subject here that give more specific answers!

At the top right hand side of the screen, there is a little magnifying glass. If you click that, you can search the forums. I'd suggest searching for something such as "Gas" or "Smells" etc!

Do you have a time set for Monday yet?

The gas is very controllable by what you eat.  It's just a bit of learning the first year or three to get you to that point of control.
