Scared to death
Lol, its not what you think. If you not a farting type of person, you will notice. Question, are you single, because to me that helps. You will find your culprit that causes gas, if you are around someone at the beginning, you leave and go pass gas....lol. Your concerns are really for new comers. I do not have gas, just like a regular person. If I drink straight milk, because I'm lactose intolerant, I will go somewhere and pass gas. It all will click for you, just the first years...what an adjustment. I would drink coffee, and put international diary for taste, I had no clue that was what was causing stomach gurgles...stop using that, and put powder and now its alllll good. Just adjustments...but I smile and I am a sexy person. And now I am living the healthy life I should be living.

We do not regret our decision because as humans we adjust. If you do not want to become malnutrition you get on a regimen and take your vitamins and supplements, after five years now I know how to manage me going to the bathroom. I stop eating bad food or heavy food after 6, but really 7, wake up, drink a glass of water and cleanse my system out by going to the bathroom. In my own bathroom, and its not bad like it is in the beginning. Its good being thru with all that trying to lose weight on a weekly basis, or concern about instantly going up. I stay away from bread, you find your culprits and stay away. Its nice to be able to fix a problem and moving on to other concerns in life.

If you will do a search on metabolic bone disease and weight loss surgery, you will see that it is common. Vitamin deficiencies, rapid weight loss, and prior obesity all contribute to this outcome.
You will need a doctor who will follow you closely for bone loss, and do labs every few months early out, and at least 2 times a year further out.
I actually have a RNY pouch, with a short common channel, which has worked well for me for many years. I weigh about 20 pounds more than my lowest weight, but I'm almost 60, and menopause is a *****! I haven't gained or lost any weight for a long time. My labs have been mostly good, my PTH was a little high, and my D a little low a couple of years ago, so I added a much higher dose of D3 than most doctors will recommend but have much better labs.
If your health needs more weigh loss, maybe you need the surgery. I wouldn't be scared to death about anything except not surviving surgery, but I think that is not a likely outcome with an experienced surgeon.
Best wishes.
Just curious - it appeared like you lost all of your excess weight with your sleeve and had a normal bmi??? What happened? Was your regain NOT caused by intake and lack of exercise or straight up surgical non function?
Thanks so much for any information. I wish you the absolute best outcome with your DS.
