Lost a member yesterday.

I am beyond sad...She was a gracious and special human. She leaves behind a husband, 2 children, family and friends.

With all due respect, was it surgery related?

We don't know what the cause was.

Wow, I remember her.  That is a shame.

RIP. I did not know her, but I am sorry to hear this. 44 is much too young to die. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.

I did look up her latest posts HERE. It is so sad to read this part of her last post a year ago on this forum "I lost my belief that I will die early."

I will, Gina.

I do know a friend posted to her FB timeline that there would be a memorial service on Aug 2nd.

This is so sad, but I thought I read from you here that she got her common channel lengthened. Was she having any problems with her DS?

About 6 months ago, she started dropping weight. They don't know why or even if it WAS due to her DS but to help stop it, they did lengthen it 6 weeks ago. So the answer is a qualified yes...she did get it lengthened but we do NOT know if it was due to her DS.

Even if she had not had the DS, she may have developed issues with maintaining weight. But then she would have thought for a long time that it was just about time she lost weight and may not have gone for help nearly as soon. Losing from almost 300 is a whole different feeling than losing from 130.
