Had my one year check up. Everything is great except my iron and related markers auch as hemoglobin etx were all very low. I am anemic and now on an iron regimen to rectify the problem. Im 173.....goal was 175 but want to lose another 10 or 20 to give myself breathing room. My surgeon agreed that would be a good idea. Thanks for all your aupport. I dont have a computer right now so it is hard to stay in touch.
An oral iron regimen likely won't work but they have to try it before insurance will pay for an infusion. Hang in there.

I had to take upwards of 300mg of carbonyl iron and 24mg of heme iron to bring up my saggy numbers, and it took about a year to do. I'm glad he'll do follow up labs so quickly. Good luck!
