Reaction to antibiotics

I had a duodenal switch with gastric sleeve in 2010.  I have had to take two different kinds of oral antibiotics (the generics for Flagyl and Cipro) since then, and both times have had a reaction of burning nerve pain of the inner arms and torso.  I am trying to figure out if I am experiencing one of the side effects of the drugs or if the drugs are causing irritation of my gastric sleeve/small intestine which then manifests as burning nerve pain.  Has anyone else had this problem?  Please let me know.  Thanks.

That's a new one on me. I've never had those reactions. Any input from your doctors?

Surgeon has no idea.  It may just be a side effect of the antibiotics.

I've not heard of this either.  You may be allergic.

It is probaly a side effect of the meds rather than an allergic reaction such as rash, shortness of breath, trouble swallowing, etc.  I was just wondering if it was possibly due to the surgery.  Glad to hear no one else has had to deal with this.  Thanks for responding.

New one to me. I've had amoxicillin and Augmenting with no side effects.
