I think so. If we start with sweets or carbs, I think we have more of a chance of craving more carbs and sweets throughout the day. At least that's the way I am.

Major Mom is correct. Carbs want more carbs. I would not have consumed so much candy/sweets if I didn't put sugar in my body so early in the day. The cravings for me are ridiculous.
I try very hard not to eat a bad carb until after 3:30p.m.
