Any suggestions on how to minimize the scars. It's close to 6 months out and it doesn't look like they will be going away anytime soon.

Rub vitamin E oil on them?  I'm trying to remember how long before mine weren't visible and I think it was about a year.

You can try lotion with vitamin E. It hasnt helped me. I think a lot of it depends on how you scar. I scar from small scratches. So at 9 months mine are still verybobvious and I fully anticipate they always will be. I have a ton of scars from when I was a kid still - darn tomboy in me! My husbands are practically gone though, hes 4 months out. Lucky duck! Anyway try and rub them to get circulation going, and good luck!!

You can try Strivectin or use the silicone scar strips the plastic surgeons use.  They can be cut to fit and you change them when you shower.

They do lessen over time, but I'm talking years, so don't expect any miracles.  The loose skin coming next will lessen the impact soon, anyway.
