4 months ago I had my switch and life has been good. I've lost 124 pounds and felt great until last Friday. I had the largest gallbladder my surgeon has ever seen. I wish I would have had it removed during the switch but oh well, I would do it again in a heart beat!

Congratulations!

I had my gallbladder out twenty years ago in my 30's and had a horrible few years of having the runs every time I ate.  I know that is rare but sometimes I wonder if the people that are having the worst post-ds experiences are actually just suffering from gallbladder side effects.  I am very curious how things might change for you now, although I'm sad you had to go through all this trouble and I hope for nothing but smooth sailing for you.

It took me one and a half years to lose 165 pounds.

So far other than my incisional pain, they had to go through some scar tissue and remove some mesh from a hernia repair it has been smooth sailing. I too wonder if some of my GI discomfort in the last month was related to my gallbladder and not the DS.
