4 months post op - SADI
Yesterday was 4 months post op for me. I am down 62 pounds. Still off all diabetes medication since the day I left the hospital after surgery. Also off all blood pressure meds and cholesterol meds. I am loving the results of my loop DS and the change in my lifestyle. Hope everyone is doing well in their journey.

Congrats on your success. I had the same Sadi surgery in NYC on Nov 10th, and I'm also very happy with the results. It's definitely a journey you have to experience to understand. So far I'm down about 84 lbs but things seemed to have slowed down to 1lb to 1.5lbs per week which I'm ok with at this point. Although I look good relative to pre surgery, I can see I have a lot of work over the next year or so to get decent physical conditioning. I'm a weird mix now of emaciated looking in some spots and pockets of fat in other areas.
Not sure exactly what you mean by "issues" but I share my experience in hopes that what I have to say is what you're looking for. I can tolerate everything I've tried to eat. Chicken still does not go down so easily or feel the best on my stomach, but I can eat it if I go slow. Ribeye steak is one of the easiest meats that I tolerate....which is good because it is my favorite food. Just like with a regular DS, too many carbs give me bad/smelly gas and BMs. If I overdo it with sugar, I do get to feeling kind of rough. It doesn't seem as bad as the dumping syndrome that RNYers get but I feel really lethargic and my stomach hurts. I wouldn't consider it painful but it is not pleasant. If I have a small bowl of ice cream or small piece of cake, I don't have that happen.
