Over the years there have been several people from Israel here who have had the DS.  It has the best results and the most normal postop life.  Keep on reading and researching.  Read the revision boards here!  You will learn a lot.

Most of us have no difficult issues to deal with postop.  But no surgery is risk free.  I can eat anything and I never got to skinny.  I just look pretty normal and I always want to lose weight.  I take a small handful of supplements twice a day.  No big deal.

I'm guessing you already know you need the malabsorbtion to be successful.  The usual proximal RNY is a small bypass and the patient's body compensates around the 2 year mark.  And that's when regain happens.  With the DS, so much is bypassed the body can't adapt.  The sleeve, like the lapband, is restrictive only and you already know how well that worked for you.

If I was in your position I would just have one surgery and get the whole DS.  My only regret was that I didn't have surgery at your age or younger!
