Happy Tuesday, just finished my third night shift and I am headed for bed soon

So I have yesterday to report and my night shift

Bites:

smokie, mac n cheese and mixed veggies

few cheezies

night shift

apple

chicken noodle soup with crackers

turkey sausage, cheese, pickles

small bag of chips

banana

fruit cup

mixed nuts

Vites: just took bedtime

Exercites: none, maybe later today when I get up

I've been doing some evaluation on my food intake and choices, and have looked over lots of the bites posts and I have been doing some reading about diet, and it is all so confusing. I know I want to eat less, for sure less snacking. I was thinking meats and veggies but I don't see a lot of veggies on the posts, which I found interesting. Protein shakes, meat, cheese, nuts, and yogurt - seems to be the menu items. I sure wish more people participated  in doing the posting. So it's funny I am 10 years out and still track what I eat and still think I could do better.(which I could). Anyway I'm tired and frustrated.

Gina, how do you make your meatloaf??

Nov. 14/2005 I have reached the 10 year mark and I am very glad I had this surgery and can live a normal life.

Susan

I wish more people participated as well, but I find it still helps me be accountable to put down in writing what I plan to eat for the day.  I also get ideas from you all.  I think it is great after 10 years you are still tracking your food, even when you have days that you feel could be better at least you are mindful of that fact and can correct it.  I think the danger is not tracking or thinking about what you eat at all.  I know I have been off a little lately and been beating myself up a little, but at least I am aware of it and therefore can try to fix it.  Keep up the good work!

Back before most of the DSrs left this web site there were a lot more posts and responses to Bites & Vites. I know I'm boring but there is no way I can compete with some of the foodies out there. I'm only partially domesticated and too old to change.  My goal is to keep carbs under 100 grams a day but that is hard to do with eating dairy and nuts. They are still high in protein so I've convinced myself it's ok. {sigh}

Meatloaf
1 pound of 80% lean ground beef
1 egg
1 envelop of Lipton onion soup mix
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/4 cup reduced sugar ketchup (more or less)
bake for 50 minutes at 350 degrees

Looks perfect. Bacon and eggs make an excellent dinner.

I appreciate you starting the thread everyday, thank you.  Even though there are only a few of us, I find it very helpful.  Thanks to you all.
