2005 DS. Lost 122 pounds and kept it off for 5+ years. Fell in 2011 and needed two knee/leg surgeries. Followed by last few years of tooth and mouth surgeries. Bottom line, I lost control on intermittent pain-killers and being prone so much! Since then, I have gained back 50 pounds. First it was 16, then a little here and little there. Now 50. Dr. Elairint says I'd be past my beginning weight it I didn't have the DS working for me. Thank God! Meanwhile, comorbities are starting to rear their ugly head: allergies & asthma, knee pain, real lethergy, borderline anemia. There are signs of blood in stool on and off for years together with this borderline anemia. My oncologist and other specialists cannot figure it out. So another endoscopy & colonoscopy on Monday. Now a second thyroid biopsy next week too. Bottom line: how do I get back on track? I am so addicted to sugar and carbs now. Ideas, suggested diet plans anything is welcomed!

Read up on Atkins induction.  Maybe the best of all ways to dump the carbs would be a couple weeks of zero carbs.  Eggs and meat only.
