Leaking in Cali! Please help

I too had to have a PICC line when I revised to VSG after a terribly eroded lap band. I understand what you are going through having kiddos at home and second guessing your surgery choice. Know you are not alone. Take advantage of the PICC line. Yes it's a pain but you won't have to force liquids around the clock to keep hydrated while you heal. Don't get me wrong the PICC line sucked but I knew I was getting all my nutrients and that was a relief. You will be back to normal before you I know it and when you look back it will seem like it happened a life time ago. Good luck on your recovery.
You did the right thing by going in for emergency care, and I'm so glad you did!
You are not the exception, though. RNY to DS revision has helped many people but it's a very complex and large operation and the complication rate is high. Your complication may not be identical to someone else's but the fact that you've had a serious complication isn't really surprising given the nature of the operation.
The good news is that you are getting the care you need and on the way to healing. And no leaks is a big deal! Hang in there, be patient, you and the kids will get through this and in a few months it will just be a memory.
