5 years already?!
Not sure where the time has gone, but today is my five year DS mark. I know it all started with the wonderful people on this board, and if not for them I would have never known about the DS. My weight does have ups and downs, but it's all controllable by what I put in my mouth. It's very easy for me to drop 10 lbs. if it creeps up on me while I'm enjoying life! Had issues with my liver enzymes out of whack and it took almost 4 years for it to return to normal. Being obese all my life took a toll, so I still have to be mindful of not losing too much or gaining too much. Weird position to be in at first but now it's easy peasy.
Anyway, to the curious or post-ops, do your research, follow the protein first mantra, get those fluids in, and be diligent on your supplements. Be kind to yourself too...it's an amazing journey!
