I am still in the first 6 week as well.  I seem to be having a problem with keeping things down food and water.  Is this normal ?

This is going to happen several times over the next year, so relax.

I used this as an opportunity to try on smaller sizes, for I usually discovered that I'd dropped a size or three.

It happens and a lot of people hit a stall in the first couple of months. It is a real head
trip. I eventually gave up trying to force myself out of a stall. I lost a lot of weight over
the last 20 months post-op and it was always in a "stair-step" manner. Lose for a while
ane then stall.
There are a lot of theories about how to break a stall.  In my mind they all tend to  fall under
the Krispy Kreme theory of how to break a stall - pick some high fat / high
carb item and indulge for a meal or a day. I always ended up on the toilet for no apparent
difference in when the stall broke. Some people swear by it though.
