More than 8 years out and still a satisfied customer!
I had my DS more than 8 years ago now. I made the right decision because I have kept the weight off with minimal work on my part, have learned to enjoy activity, have a better quality of life, and enjoy much better health than I could imagine. If you are thinking about getting the DS, it is worth the fight (if you have to fight for it). I know too many friends who chose other surgeries and gained the weight back plus a few extra. I believe this surgery produces the best long-term results for weight loss. If you are considering it, research the procedures and the doctors well.
I don't get on the site too often anymore. I am too busy living my healthier, happier life. It was a great support when I first researched and then had my surgery. I am religious about taking my vitamins/supplements and getting my blood work done. Make sure you do that, too!
Blessings,
Caro
Happy surgiversary, Caro! : )
