Bonanni vs Greenbaum - which would you choose?

Does anyone have experience with either of these surgeons? I have Highmark insurance and the rep indicated both surgeons and their affiliated hospitals are in network. I'm double checking that info to avoid any surprises. Bonanni is in state for me; Greenbaum is not. Both are roughly equidistant from me. Which would you recommend for the DS surgery?

I went to Dr G who works in boonanis office. Great staff and great experience.

Dr. B saved my life almost 6 yrs ago. I had a lap DS. He is a gifted and talented surgeon. He also did 2 other non DS related surgeries for me. All 3 had great results.

i know Dr. B doesn't do revisions and if there is a major complication that reqires a different skill set, the folks at Abington will refer you to Greenbaum's office.

good luck with either decision you make. Just pick one, and enjoy the amazing ride the DS offers.

I understand Dr B's practice limits DS patients to having a BMI at or over 50 BMI. That would have ruled me out.  Dr Grenbaum would have been my choice due to the BMI restriction.

Dr. bonanni did my surgery 4 -5 years ago with a BMI of 43.  He is a very gifted surgeon. He really advocates for his patients.

I also went to Dr G in the same office and I have absolutely NO complaints with anyone in the office. Everyones amazingly friendly and supportive as well as helpful in getting and keeping you in the right track :) 

Dr. B did my lap band surgery in 2007 and when that slipped, he did my revision to the DS in 2012.  An awesome surgeon with a great support staff!
