Star, On black Friday! I think my wife would kill me if I did that. Good luck with your surgery? I don't have a preop diet, they just said don't go wild!

Its interesting how different doctors handle the pre-op period. I was only given one mandatory, which was that I only consume clear liquids the day before my surgery. I also had a 2-week liquid diet that was recommended. After researching though I decided to do it because of potential problems with the liver. I'll tell you what, though, after about a week of protein shakes I absolutely hated the sight, much less the taste of them.

Man you're lucky! 5 days clear liquids...broth, sugar free jello, sugar free Popsicles, water....that's about it.

Good luck !! I had a 3 week liquid diet - sucked butt!! I lost 26 pounds though, so that almost made it worth it :-)

Tomorrow will be two weeks since I had surgery. I was a little rough the first few days, but it got much better with each day afterwards. At two weeks out, I'm down 20lbs and feel better than I did pre-op. Only thing I can't stand are the protein shakes, but I'm still working on the food options.
