Anyone had the SADi-S (Single anastomosis duodeno-ileal bypass with sleeve gastrectomy)
I got the loop on 10/20/2014. So far I'm down 30 Pounds. I didn't know I was getting it untill after surgery. I was never told there was a difference I knew I wanted the duodenal switch and technically that's what they called it in my report but in parenthesis it said (single anastomosis). The post above was made on my fb post in a group because I had questioned what the difference was and was basically attacked by traditional DS people saying I was a ginea pig and I can't eat hoe they eat and do what they do and get same results. Ya! So much for it being a support group :/ I do however follow the same guidelines as them. I also take the exact same vitamins. Since I'm barely a month out guess there's not much more I can say, but I feel amazing I healed pretty quick I have 2 sons and I already feel I have more energy.
Thank you so much for the reply. My surgery is today at 1pm and I hope I am as successful as you. After hearing from previous patients I have no doubt the SADI-S is as good or better than (according to my surgeon) the traditional DS. I listened to the pros and cons and decided this was best for me. Good luck on your journey and please keep me posted on your progress.
