Carbs - Whats your number?
Hoping some of you cam help me out.
I am about 4 months out now, and have no food restrictions from my Dr. Just that I need to get more calories - even though I get enough protein. Anyway, not why im here.
I am curious, for those of you who are trackers, how many grams of carbs do you eat a day on average? I watch my sugar extremely closely and other simple carbs, but I am noticing that I tend to get about 75grams of carbs a day. Now most of it is complex, or from the milk in my latte's. I have heard that as a DSer its best to keep carbs low. And if I do eat a lot of carbs at once I really regret it - its all about moderation.
Anyway, just looking for information from other on what you are doing. Also, if you are in maintenance or still loosing. I appreciate it, Thanks!

I'm in maintenance and I try to keep my carbs below 100 grams a day. When I was losing during the first year, I was well under 75 carbs a day. I had not added Greek yogurt or popcorn to my daily menu but after I did the carbs shot up. If I want to lose now, I have to get and stay below 50 carbs a day for at least a month.

I try to stay around 30 carbs a day. I mainly eat plain chicken, steak, breakfast sausages, beef pot roast (with little bit of carrots & onions), bunless bacon cheeseburgers. Most of my carbs come from my coffee creamer. I can't go over 30 carbs a day or my stomach gets really bloated and painful.
Oh wow, even at over two years out? Thats crazy, but good in a way. Ensures you dont gain your weight back.
I know I have pushed the limit, and am scaling back big time. For example today I only had 27. I can definetely tell that I hardly ate any all day, for one I feel like I have more energy, and 2, I had a small bite of my husbands sugar loaded ice cream and my tummy is still bloated/upset and hr later. So I just need to resist the craving a few more days and I wont want them anymore.
Thanks for chiming in :)

I found it too hard to track carbs. Very early out I stuck to anywhere near 50. I find that the more carbs I have the more I want.
I gave up counting carbs but I still track all my eating. When my weight loss is stuck I go back to my daily meals and
just adjust to reduce carbs and that usually helps get me back on track.
