Slow weight loss

First of, don't compare yourself to others. Everyone has a different speed and different amounts of weight to lose.
You are just starting so my advice would be to put the scale away and don't step on it unless you are at the doctors.
you will hear this a lot, YMMV (your miles may vary).

My surgery was on 10/10/14 so I am at the same point as you. As of today I have lost 25 pounds. I had a 9 day plateau that drove me crazy.
I found some help in reading about weight stalls and the science behind it (link below).

As someone else suggested, you just can't compare yourself to others. The higher your beginning BMI the faster you will lose.
At one point I was even convinced that they did the sleeve on me but not the switch! Something I found on-line that helped me (mentally) is that the restrictive portion of the surgery helps with weight loss and the mal-absorptive helps with keeping it off.
Think back to before your switch - wouldn't you have loved to lose an average of 4 pounds week over week!
Good luck!
