Well had the CT and it didn't show anything where they saw something but it showed granulomatous disease on left lung an moderate to severe changes is centrilobular emphysema. So I have lung disease  to go along with everything else.I have to have a colonoscopy the day before tanksgiving really looking forwar to that. Can't seem to  gain any weight to amount to anything so I don't know what is going on. You would think that taking in 200g of protein and 100g of complex carbs a day you would gain more than 2 lbs in 4 weeks. Gotta be something else. Might see about getting the creon after the scope. No sense in starting it and then spending 2 days on the toilet.

The prep is the hardest part of the colonoscopy.  The rest is just a nap.  I'd be pushing for that creon today, tough.  Why wait 3 weeks?

Pat, so sorry about the emphysema but glad no cancer was found. It could have been worse.

I'm also glad you are having a more open mind about the creon. You have really tried your best without it, and I think better absorption of the food you are consuming can only help. I really don't know that you can consume any more, or that it would help if you did. But like Val said, why wait 3 more weeks?

Re: the colonoscopy, my Dad had a bunch of them. He always said the procedure was a piece of cake, it's just the prep that did him in.

No worries about the colonoscopy. I just had my first one a week ago and the prep was harder than the procedure
and truthfully the prep wasn't all that bad. I had the GoLytely and I was worried about getting all the liquid in but
it worked out fine.. I did liquids for an extra day before it but I don't think it was necessary in the end. It just gave me
piece of mind.  Good luck.

I wouldn't wait on the creon if you are convinced you want it. If you stop 2 days before I don't think it will be an issue.

I would take the creon now, today, right now,  not sure why you are not taking it yet, there is no reason.  sounds like you are still not sure about taking it.   I have been getting colonoscopies for over a decade, have had over 5, hereditary polyps,  no big deal, the day before is not so bad,  but us DSers you usually only take half (but check with the GI as long as it has not "solids" you are good to go) the day of the colonoscopy is nothing, fentanyl and versed.  btw it is only 1/2 day on the toilet, not 2 days, essentially just the afternoon to bedtime the night before-dont worry about it, it is easy compared to other things.   I hope you feel better real soon.
