Well I finally had my Duodenal Switch Surgery

I had my surgery on Oct 29th 2014. Dr Jawad did the surgery.  I was supposed to take 2.5 to 3 hrs to do it, however took about an hour. The surgeon told my husband I did awesome he I was perfect for him to do the surgery.  There were no leaks so I came home on Saturday the 1st. Im tired of the chicken broth already.. 

I didn't think it was possible to get a DS in an hour. We're you a revision?  At any rate welcome to the Dark Side. 

No not a revision. . A full DS. I thought it was quick too, but I will find out for sure. 

I thought Jawad did the SADI.  Was it a DS or a SADI?  One hour is fast!

It was a full DS

Do you have a copy of your surgical report?  I've bee reading that your surgeon is doing the loop and the loop is a faster surgery. I just want to make sure you are certain of what surgery he did.

Dr Jawad did my original VSG.  I recently was re-sleeved and also had the DS.  Dr Jawad does the loop, not the full DS.  After my experience with my VSG, I highly recommend you get your operative reports.  You may be surprised at what you find, I know I was!! :(

I'm happy you have had no troubles so far. I'm only 2 weeks post-op, so far, so good!  Best of luck!
