Good News
Although I am not out of the woods yet, my diet seems to be working. I was able to put on 3.5 lbs. It's tough to comply with eating all this protein plus trying to get 50g of complex carbs in but that's what my "Coach" thats what I will call her on another group wants me to do. She has definately steered me right so far. She had the DS about the same time as me and has been very successful so i'm working to comply. It's hard because the complex carbs are filling and don't have much protein so even with 3 shakes a day somedays I feel like I'm going to burst. The doc doesn't think I'm having malabsorbtion just eating wrong, not enough. It took me 2 weeks of complying to put on 3.5 lbs. I am just glad I don't need revision surgery I just need to eat better and more. For some reason my system changed and what I had been eating even though I got to 174 suddenly turned around and I lost 34 in 8 months.
No no Creon. I have heard of side effects and I don't feel it is needed. There was no sign of malabsorption just poor diet and not enough of it. I didn't let myself get down so bad this time before I started doing something about it. Will get labs again in 1 month and I'm sure that they will be back to normal. Like I say they only got slightly low this time.
