theses are totally questions for your surgeon and nutritionist. How would anyone here know the answers to these questions?

My questionalble doctor didn't tell us anyting except the motel to stay at the night before and we had to drink 2 whole bottles of mil of magnesia before midnight. Needless to say we went to a Chinese buffet earlier and were up most of the night crapping our toenails out. That was when I still had toenails. LOL

Agree your surgeon's office should be instructing you about this...or at the very least, check instructions on packaging.

If you are on a pre-op diet it is usually all liquid. Supposedly to reduce the size of the liver
and give the surgeon a little more elbow room.

Surgeons are all over on this but best to do what the guy who is cutting in to you asks you to do.

I was on 4 Boost glucose control per day. Just guessing but you could do any where from 3 - 5 shakes
and try to avoid solids especially a couple of days leading up to the surgery.
