Almost 3 months post op

Hi Everyone-

So before surgery I posted a few times but have been bad posting recently even though I check out OH often.  Next week Thursday on Oct. 30 I will be officially 3 months post op! I lost 39 lbs before surgery and am currently down a total of 82 lbs total! I am hoping that will be 85 + by the 30th though (we will see). I have had so much energy and have felt the best I have felt in years. I am down 3 pant sizes, 1 t-shirt size, and people are noticing I look different. I have about 80 lbs more I want to lose. Hopefully I can get there, I am feeling very confident I will!

One thing that has surprised me some since surgery is I believe I always saw myself smaller than what I was. Now that I am actually smaller I believe I am seeing myself much bigger than what I am currently. I wasn't prepared for the mind games that happen with rapid Weigh Loss but I'm adjusting and I will get there.

For those that are in the pre-op process keep going it is worth it!

I know what you mean, I don't see myself accurately either.  We are really close on our journey, I just celebrated four months on 10-13-14.  I have lost 100 lbs as of this week and would like to lose 75 more.  Good luck! By the way, which surgery did you have? DS?

Congratulations on your 4th month!! I did have the DS. I would like to lose about 75 lbs more as well!

Sounds great. Good job Kelly.

You're right it is an adjustment period when your body is changing so drastically but keep at it.
A lot of us have to do some very conscious thinking about clothes shopping because we still
think of ourselves the way we were pre-op. It's not such a bad problem to have for most.  :)

Thanks Pete!

It is a great problem to have, I just wasn't prepared for it (silly I know, but I wasn't!)

Well..... I'm a whole 5 days out! And boy.....I hope the energy level you talk about hits quick....I am so run down and tired! Finding what to eat and then if it even tastes good.... hope my mojo gets back sooner rather than later!!

Congrats on being a new post op! How are you feeling? It took me about 6 + weeks for my energy level to get going again. I was so tired and run down at first as well, it WILL improve!
