looking for constructive advise

I am 5 days out from DS surgery and you bet ya I am weighing 3 times a day.  My weight is fluctuating terrifically.  The thing that helps me most (even before DS) is that I have an Aria scale by fitbit.  Every time I pass that scale I jump on it; but I don't really retain the number in my head because I know that my fitbit dashboard will have it for me.  This way I get the satisfaction/relief/encouragement from weighing a lot but I get to see the trends over time.

Good luck!

To get a true account of your progres sans the variations day by day, be i****er, poo, whatever, you should weigh yourself on the same day at the same time in the same conditions each week.  For me, it was buck nekkid just after a poop on an empty stomach every Sunday morning.  Then and only then, can you get a true account of your progress.  There is very little you can do to keep the variables from being variable....or let it go and accept the variables along the way if you're going to weigh yourself daily no matter what.

Constructive advise is to let it go, do what you know you need to, and let the DS do it's job without you trying to micro-manage it.
