What are your go to protein low carb foods?
I buy Fage', 2% Greek yogurt and mix strawberries or blueberries with 1 cup go Greek yogurt.. I love it. Along with fresh turkey breast and roast and cheese roll ups.. Eggs and I make cheese omelets. I like ricotta cheese so if I make some zucchini, broccoli Rabe or spinach which I sauté in garlic and oil I will add ricotta cheese.. I also eat almonds and I add peanut butter in my protein drinks in order to increase the protein..
I always take my little ice chest. Allows me to take, cheese slices quartered, fold up 2 or 3 slices of salami and make little sandwiches... I like swiss on one side and cheddar/pepper cheese on the other. 4 minis are almost 30 grams. Or I make cheese/meat sandwiches. 3 slices of cheese with mayo/miracle whip/cream cheese between each slice, 4 oz of lunch meat, then 3 more slices of cheese, cut in half or quarters. Almost 60 g for the whole sandwich. Jerky is still a good thing to pack and nuts (peanuts, cashews, almonds...). I generally always have 1 or 2 protein bars (Premier Bars -30g) or Cliff Bars - 20g in my purse or ice chest. I try to stay gluten free most of the time, hence my cheese/wo bread sandwich!
