Between 300 and 1050 mcg a day.

Most bariatric vitamin program say take X good quality vitamins and then supplement on top of that.  Centrum has 25 mcg of K, so I will use that in my addition, although YMMV.

VitaLady says:  2 Multis Plus 1,000 mcg = 1,050 mcg a day.

MBC says: 4 Multis plus 200 mcg = 300 mcg a day

ASMBS says:  2 Mulis plus 300 mcg = 350 mcg a day

Celebrate contains 540 mcg in their multivitamin plus 80 with their calcium = 620 mcg a day.

Good Luck!

Depends on what your labs tell you to take.

I was low normal a year ago so I went from 1,000 mcg to 2,000 mcg daily and now my labs tell me I am in the center of normal range.

EACH person is different...that's why knowing your lab values is SO critical...not just to have them drawn but to get a hard copy for yourself and keep track of the trends.

If your labs show low then I would go to the 1000 mcg like the vitalady recommendation. It seems like a
useful point to start at and you can go up or down depending on future labs. Just make sure the bleeding
is a vitamin K issue and not something else, although I do think that is the probable ciause.

I have a problem with my Vit K, so I am unusual.  I have had an undetected Vit K level twice via blood work, and right now I am starting to trend downwards again.   the blood work was so low that my PIVKA-II results was pretty high.  My lowest amount a take per day is Vit. K1 phytonadione 1000 mcg & go up ot 5000 mcg  day depending on my blood work, for me this and Vit D is something I have to watch more closely.  You really need to have a Vit K level done at least once a year (not PT as that is really useless and only for imminent bleeds not for deficiencies)  or more if you have issues like me.  Depending on what your level is you can adjust appropriately from there.
