Hi Becky, congrat's on 5 yrs... mine is coming up the middle of Nov. I too have also had about 10-13 lbs regain the last 3 months. I need to clean out all the carbs & sweets, get back to the basics!!! Maybe together we can do this! So glad to see you back. I always enjoyed reading your posts.

Hi Becky,
I'm in Tennessee and had the VSG 4 years ago. I'm considering a revision to the DS. How was your experience in Marietta? I may travel for surgery if it means getting a great surgeon. There is only one in this area that I would let touch me. So, I'm doing research on short travel experiences...thanks!! The thing I'm most concerned about are complications (obviously). Bowel issues (pooping and gas) affecting my daily life.
Thanks!
Hi Beemer/Becky (and others that posted about regain),
I'm having a heck of a time with regain. I've been struggling with it for about a year and a half now, but especially over the last year. I'd love to use you all as my sounding board as well as to keep me on track. Let me know if that is OK with you and if you'd like the same. I never thought I'd see the dreaded 200 on the scale again, but I went from 175 to 200 lbs in the last year and a half. What's worse, on the way back up, I'm wearing larger clothes at the 200 lb mark than I did when I was losing my weight. I'm so depressed about this.
There seems to be a combination of factors that may be leading to the regain. One is medication I'm on, but I've hit perimenopause as well, which I think is a huge culprit. Last, but not least, is my appetite and diet. However, I've done lots to correct the appetite part, still I'm having a very difficult time shedding pounds and inches.
Any help, feedback, recommendations, or encouragement is welcomed and appreciated.
Thanks for listening.

Thank you! Between business travel, vacation, and Christmas, I've been away for awhile, but I'm back now. I'm gaining like there is no tomorrow. I'm so depressed about it. I NEVER thought I'd have to 'diet' again! I'm going to really foucs on losing and see where it gets me. The low carb thing isn't even working. It just pauses the gain, but I'm not losing .. argh. As soon as I eat something a little off the mark, I can literally feel my body (especially my legs) growing in size!
Take care and stay in touch. I'll keep you posted on how it is going.
