I had my sleeve in 2012 and my Initial weight was 420. I am down to 320 but regaining slowly . My bmi is 52.5. My doctor is suggesting the bpd/ds. I am 36 fairly healthy and I am trying to find anyone who has done this revision or has any help info on the difference betweent bypass and ds. I go for my edg tomorrow and have a surgery date for the end of next month...just lookig for others who have had the revision as well

It's not a horrible surgery.  They just need to go in and do the intestinal portion of the DS.  The 'switch'.  Make sure your sleeve is still small and you have restriction.  If I was in your shoes I would ask for the shortest possible CC because you still have quite a bit to lose.

I had my sleeve in 2009 revised to ds 3 weeks ago today.  Started at 268 3 weeks ago, today 252 and I'm stuck in a dreadful stall..  UGH.  I hope it doesn't last long.  I had my surgery revision with Dr. Ungson, and he had to revise my sleeve at the same time, it had stretched out at the top.  The surgery with Dr. Ungson, was a easy surgery, very little pain, no complications.  Now, if I can just get the weight moving!

Anna, there is actually a metabolic reason why almost everyone gets a stall early out even when doing everything right. I won't get into all the details here, just reassure you that it is to be expected and you WILL resume losing weight soon.

I'm a 2 parter and agree with what others have said, ie get a re-sleeve (even if it's just a partial re-sleeve) and short common channel, ie 75 or 50cm.  I know Dr Keshishian does 50cm CCs and folk do well with him.
