Extended release pills how to explain to doc
Creon is digestive enzymes to help you absorb more of the calories you consume. In other words, they need to be present in your intestines at the same time as the food or they don't help you. So anyone taking them, not just people with bariatric surgery, would need to take them with each meal.
The depakote I don't know about. You will need to explain to the prescribing doc that about half (roughly) of your small intestine has been bypassed and this may affect absorption of your depakote, depending on where in the intestine it is absorbed, which I don't know. It may be necessary to check blood levels to get you on the right dose, and the dose may need to be adjusted more than once before you and the doc get to just the right level - not too little, not too much. Or maybe there is a shorter acting form that you would take more times during the day that might work better for you. Again, I don't know, but something to discuss with the doc.
