How long did you lose.....

I am three days away from being 10 months out and am down 103 pounds. I am 5'5 and weigh 147. Just wondering how long you all continued to lose for... I am happy where I am and grateful to have reached a normal bmi and to feel so healthy. If I lost a few more pounds I would also be fine with it.... Just wondering what to expect... I am guessing I am close to the end of losing... Thanks in advance

I lost 114 lbs (more than goal) in 14 months. I've lost 20+ lbs since then due to med problems. Trying to gain it back.

It seems to me that 100 lbs in 9 months is ptetty amazing.

114 in 14 sounds great also! Hope you have no more issues with meds and get to the perfect weight for you! Good luck!

There are many components that will affect how long and how much lose  weight.    The size of your sleeve, the length of the CC , what you are eating, how much you exercise,  if Ds  was done one or 2 steps, etc.  everyone is different and has different results. However we have noticed that many patients  weight loss starts to stabilize  at around 18 months.

Thank you Dr Ungson. I did ask my dr what size length, and cc I had and he gave me a vague response of " the normal size for ds" so I do not have the numbers... I guess I should ask for my records to get the exact info.  I eat lots of protein ( aim for 100 to 120) a day, but do not  truly watch the other foods I eat except carbs. Honestly I do minor  exercising ..walking, hiking, chasing my babies :) but do not follow a strict plan. My ds was done in one step... I have had no issues and follow vita lady's vites with good labs so far. I have noticed my losing has slowed to a pound or two every 2 weeks now. Thank you for the infor and reply

You should be able to get the surgical report from either the hospital or your surgeon that should list at least cc length
and what they used to measure the stomach (I think). I had to apply to the hospital for my report.

At 10 months I wouldn't be surprised if you lost some more.  Don't worry!  The bounceback will get your weight back up.  Ideally I wish I had lost about 10% under goal so the bounceback would have put me right back where I wanted to be.

Thanks patty... I was kinda hoping I would drop another 15-20 just for that reason :) I am starting to get the " you look too thin" comment... And  "are you eating enough"  lol I'll take it... If it means my size 6 pants keep fitting hehe

Everyone gave good info. It really depends on you and your body. Mine was a bit of a roller coaster but over the last year ive dropped to the lowest I have been. And I am 9+ years post op.
